We’ve been in the events world for 10 years now, and although we have done so much already, there are still some themes we are itching to do. We’ve selected a list of our our favourite themed events for 2018 – some we have done, and done very well might we add, and some we are yet to do but can’t wait to add our Focus Rooms flair to it.

Our Favourite Themed Events for 2018
Arabian Nights
Picture our Zen Garden draped in bright fabrics, colourful place settings and scatter cushions, tapas style menu and stunning lanterns to set the mood. This would be perfect for a smaller group, wanting an intimate and relaxed treat. Take the treat factor up a notch and include some much deserved neck and shoulder massages for your delegates, while they sip wine.

Neon / 80’s
This one is an all time classic and one that we do every year so we’ve got it down to a fine art now. Bright colours, head bands, record themed centre pieces and a dance floor – what else could you want? Oh, an awesome playlist! Send your invites out and include a line in the RSVP for your guests to add their favourite 80’s hit to the playlist. Pro tip: spot who selected the song as it comes on by seeing who’s face lights up! Go full neon with ultra violet lights and white linen.

Great Gatsby / Prohibition Party
The Roaring 20’s make for a roaring party. This is the type of event that you can really go all out for, if the budget allows but also works elegantly on a budget. What makes this glamorous event such a classic is that it appeals to all age groups. It will be a hit for a big office where all can partake in the festivities! You’ll want to start off this event with welcome drinks of champagne or add even more glamour by adding a live jazz musician.

Classic China
Picture paper lanterns, sushi starters, incense and rich red and gold linens. This is an event to appeal to all the senses and would work superbly paired with an award ceremony. Go full traditional Chinese food or opt for a modern infusion of Chinese flavours and Western dishes.

Carnival
Close you eyes and imagine the smell of freshly popped popcorn. When you open your eyes you see bright colours, traditional carnival games, entertainers, lots of smiling faces and loads of laughter. If you’re looking for a themed event to entertain and keep your guests busy, then this interactive theme is definitely a lot of fun and just for you.
