Summer Smoothies

Brain Juice me up!

Summer is yet to be over and we’re definitely not ready to give up our flip flops and ice cold drinks just yet! Want to know how we’ve been keeping cool during working hours? Fresh Brain Juice Smoothies! These fruit smoothies are so tasty and the perfect brain booster that we just can’t keep them to ourselves any longer… Here’s an inside scoop on some of our favourite recipes:

Blueberry-Banana Smoothies

Blend 1 banana, 1 cup blueberries, 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk, 1 tablespoon each honey and lime juice, 1/4 teaspoon almond extract and 1 cup ice.

Pineapple-Mango Smoothies

Blend 1 cup each chopped pineapple and mango, 1 cup coconut water, a dash of ground allspice and 1 cup ice. Sprinkle with toasted coconut.

Black Raspberry-Vanilla Smoothies

Blend 1 pint blackberries, 1/2 cup raspberries, 1 cup vanilla yogurt and then add 1 tablespoon honey.

Raspberry-Orange Smoothies

Blend 1 cup each orange juice and raspberries, 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1 cup ice, and then add sugar to taste.

Mango Lime Smoothies

Blend the juice of 1 small lime, 2 cups mango chunks, 1 cup ice, and then add honey or sugar to taste.

To be extra generous, we’ve also decided to share a very special dessert  smoothie with you which is a little extra effort but trust us, it’s definitely worth it! You’ll wish you had made more…

Strawberry Shortcake Smoothies

Blend 2 cups strawberries, 1 cup crumbled pound cake, 1 1/2 cups each milk and ice, and then add sugar to taste. Top with whipped cream and more strawberries.
