Marisa blends academic prowess with real-world savvy, leading with heart and expertise. Her inclusive management style welcomes every team member’s input, yet she confidently takes the helm when tough decisions arise, ensuring the company doesn’t just survive but thrives. She’s the visionary who grew Focus Rooms from its humble beginnings, continuously seizing expansion opportunities.

As the captain of the Focus Rooms team, Marisa nurtures and guides her crew, turning challenges into growth opportunities. This has earned him consecutive Employee of the Year awards and recognition for doubling revenue at NuMetro Cinemas.

He’s the Zen master of logistics, juggling staff needs, seating arrangements, and beverage lineups with finesse. His superpower? Transforming chaos into smooth, world-class experiences. Whether he’s problem-solving on the fly or managing the team, his secret sauce ensures every event is a showstopper.

Beyond the curtain of events, Twista thrives on networking and family. He tackles the industry’s challenges head-on, reimagining staff consistency with a dedicated pool of trained event experts. His passion for making magic happen and the unique challenge of each event is driven by client satisfaction and making every day a new adventure.

Her bachelor’s degree in social science gives her the superpower of understanding clients’ needs and desires, allowing her to craft unforgettable, personalised events and tackle even the trickiest of challenges.

At Focus Rooms, Theresia is like an octopus in a tuxedo, juggling events, forging lasting client bonds and hunting down new opportunities with style. Call it intuition or call it magic – she effortlessly anticipates clients’ needs and turns ‘good’ events into ‘unforgettable’ experiences. Her knack for personal touch means that no detail is overlooked. What drives her? It’s the thrill of everyday challenges and the rollercoaster ride of creativity, logistics and the occasional glitter explosion that events bring into her life. But hey, who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle?

She skilfully tackles budget constraints and crafts cost effective solutions without compromising on the magic. Plot twist – in her spare time, Theresia enjoys writing, adding another layer to her creative talents. Meet the culinary connoisseur of Focus Rooms, Thabo Monareng, where every day is seasoned with creativity and passion. He embarked on his culinary adventure at Bodubelo Hotel School, where he mastered the art of Professional Cookery. With over 18 flavourful years in the hospitality industry, Thabo has seasoned his skills across a various setting—from luxury game lodges and 5-star restaurants to private hospitals, hotels, and wedding venues. He’s won accolades like the National Chef of the Year 2019 Award and the lip-smacking Lilizela 2016 Award, proving he’s a true culinary maestro.

As Head Chef, Thabo orchestrates our kitchen symphony, blending flavours with finesse and ensuring HACCP/HSE standards are on the menu. His leadership style is like a perfectly plated dish—meticulous, flavourful, and always leaving guests craving more. Thabo doesn’t just cook—he creates culinary masterpieces that offer a feast for the senses.

His secret recipe for a successful team? A hefty dose of discipline, a dash of empathy, a pinch of accountability (and a lot of time management). This ensures every bite is an unforgettable experience. When he’s not stirring up magic in the kitchen, Thabo savours life’s simpler pleasures with his family. Sundays are for swapping his chef’s hat for his church hat—a spiritual recharge that keeps him grounded and ready to spice up the culinary world.
